Lilac Tree Foundation Community Quilt

As a supportive community-building project, Maggie worked with clients, volunteers and administrators at the Lilac Tree Foundation in Evanston, IL to create a quilt. Clients cut out blossom shapes, contributed to design decision making and assisted in ironing all the pieces together after careful planning and pinning. Then participants generated a list of words that described their experiences with Lilac Tree's programming and personnel, which were then written on the surface of the quilt. It now resides and brightens up the space in their Evanston headquarters.
